The possibility of hoaxes, misidentified natural phenomenon, and camera
artifacts in the UFO field always exist. We try to the best of our ability to track
down the source of all materials we publish on Eyepod. In some cases this is
nearly impossible, nonetheless we think all cases should be viewed with an
open mind. We cannot verify the authenticity of all materials we receive, this
is one such case. It is of interest nonetheless. When we can verify the
materials and information supplied to us we will make that perfectly clear. This
case has not been fully investigated, updates if any will appear below. FRJ
The story as released to us is in blue type, more testing of reactions by our
Government. The website address for the campaign and investigation is
below, we wish to thank templars_23 for the info... FRJ
On October 15, 2005, in Ostrov (Siberia) a group of explorers
claim to have discovered the ruins of an alien spaceship and the
skeleton of an unknown humanoid species, all documented with a video
camera. Original site http://www.arkadysimpkin.pl
Color film shot on video tape in Ostrov Viner-Neyshtadt (Siberia) of a
crashed UFO (or, flying saucer) and humanoid person found in the ice.

Hi Kato,
Yes, it is a hoax of sorts. It is a "viral" advertising
campaign. "Viral marketing" refers to the insidious nature that the
marketing spreads, unknown to the people spreading it. It is similar
to the "www.ilovebees.com" web site and marketing campaign that was
used by Microsoft to promote the release of their Halo 2 video game
for the XBOX game console.
If you go to "http://giantology.typepad.com/giantology/" you will
find a tie-in web site that conveniently contains other video of
more "giants" found recently. It is not coincidence that each of the
giants looks just like one of the colossi from the video game "Shadow
of the Colossus" which was recently released for the Sony Playstation
2.
A lot of people are getting suckered into this as being real, so
spread the word!
