| Mystery Science Theater 3000 Volume 6 2004 Rhino Home Video, a Warner Music Group Company A fantastic fun filled romp as always inside the "Satellite of Love." Joel, Crow, and Tom Servo, wise crack their way through three full length features... Teenagers From Outer Space, Gunslinger, and my favorite, Attack Of The Giant Leeches. Along with 80 minutes of Mr. B'S Lost Shorts the compilation is sure to tickle your collective funny bone. Adults and the kids can spend family time rolling on the floor in laughter. Great for the other "rollers" also, if you get my drift. FRJ |
| Unsolved Mysteries UFOS 4 DVD Boxed Set Hosted by Robert Stack, Executive Producers; John Cosgrove and Terry Dunn Meurer - First Look Home Entertainment I only had time for one disc of this four disc boxed set. I took a gamble and viewed only the first disc, knowing they would save the best for last... wrong! From beginning to end disc one kept me transfixed. The production and acting was impeccable, and the interviews [with the participants in the phenomena] were totally engrossing and thorough. The disc starts off with the famous Bentwaters UFO incident. To see this reenactment, and to hear the credible witnesses [U.S. Airforce] tell their story, leaves no doubt in the viewers mind that something extraordinary happened in Bentwater England. Next up is the chilling account of the Allagash Abductions. The original recordings of the abductees recounting their experience while under hypnosis gave me goose-bumps. The 1st of the four disc set also covers Crop Circles, the Phoenix UFO[sometimes called the Phoenix lights], Nazca lines, and the 1991 "Solar Eclipse" sightings in Mexico. Thousands had their eyes and video cameras pointed at the skies, capturing some of the most remarkable UFO footage ever. Gathered from multiple sources, witnesses, and locations the videos leave little room for doubt that something very unusual was in the air that day in Mexico. Finally there is "Vancouver Lights", the story of Dorothy Izalt and what she has been capturing on film for years. Amazing footage of an even more incredible phenomenon. The frame by frame analysis of the film shows something astounding, Dorothy believes that UFOs are attempting to communicate with her... you decide. The discs contain many special features, including a tribute to Robert Stack. If you only know of his work with "Unsolved Mysteries" you"ll learn much more about the career and accomplishments of this true pioneer, and consummate actor. The "Untouchables" being my favorite, forerunner of the crimes shows proliferating today, and don't forget the reality shows'[Americas Most Wanted etc.] that "Unsolved Mysteries" broke the ground for, with hosts that attempt to mimic the late Robert Stack's style. Robert Stack as always is the voice of reason, and authoritatively narrates each episode. His presence make you feel safe, and provides you with the friend you need by your side at times like these. Even if your a non-believer, the case studies are intriguing and a must see. From the moment you hear the trademark musical theme, your mind instinctively knows it's about to witness something different. These are some of the strangest, most frightening, otherworldly, and thought provoking "unsolved mysteries" of our world. "Instinct is never wrong"... Eyepod Back to Front Page |
