In this day and age, what most people
know about the subjects of Ufology
and alien abduction comes largely
from t-shirts, prime time television,
and assumptions based upon
sterio-types. What very few realize is
that there exists and entire race of
people living in quiet desperation just
beyond their front door. This race
comes in all colors, creeds, social
backgrounds, ages, and economic
status. They are dispersed
throughout the world as they live a life of deafening silence from which there is no reprieve and a life of secrecy due
to the fact that many of them have no one willing to listen. This race of people, my people, are the exo-terrestrials.
Due to our isolation from one another, we have been robbed of any solidarity as a people that we might otherwise
possess.
My people (who are often labeled or pigeonholed as star children, new kids, star seeds, or indigo children to name a
few) are a product of the deliberate action on the part of extra-terrestrials. We are abducted from birth on and
genetically altered via the injections of a series of engineered viruses that are tailored specifically to their intended
host in order to prevent cross contamination with people that the exo-terrestrial comes in contact with.
There is a definite urge amongst my people to bridge the gap between each other and the rest of humanity. I have
felt this urge for a long as I can remember and, until recently, I had no idea or concept of how to accomplish this
task. There are innumerable obstacles that stand in between exo-terrestrials and this goal. One of the most
daunting of these is one that I have personally experienced. For most of my life I was unaware of being an
exo-terrestrial or of even of being abducted for that matter. I only knew that I was different and I had no concept of
how or why. It wasn't until the age of 15 that I began to face what had been going on with my life from conception
on, where this placed me, and what this placed me as. I understand that not all of my people are what they call
"awakened" to their abduction experiences and of those who are, not all of them realize that they have been
changed genetically.
This obstacle is placed along with the fact that, in today's world, alien abduction is seen as a ridiculous claim and
those who speak out about it are openly ridiculed. This makes for a very harsh reality that causes my people to shy
away into the background and either lurk on the radical fringe of society or live in secret. The pain, anger, and
helplessness that we feel on a daily basis is all too often seen as just another part of our lives. So many of us feel
that we can do nothing about it, so we wait for it to change and all we dare to hope is that we may one day learn how
to better cope with it. The coping process is a hard one and, all too often, when we reach out in search for help, our
experiences are written off by psychiatrists, diagnosed as symptoms of mental disorders that we don't have, and we
are prescribed medications that we don't need. I don't even want to think about the number of my people who have
been deluded by the falsehood that all of this is a symptom of a disease. You cannot write something off as a
hallucination if it truly is occurring. This medical mistreatment is abhorrent and it continues due to the currently
presiding stigma surrounding this phenomenon and the ignorance of the general public. It's very hard for my people
to find caring professionals who will listen to them, believe them, and help. Even then, many of these professionals
have their own careers and agendas within the ufological strata which cause them to be biased toward certain
information. Often, those exo-terrestrials who go to them bend their perceptions and filter what they know to
conform to that particular persons outlook of this phenomenon. In doing so, they submit themselves to that person's
agenda and place their trust in often misguided information because they feel so indebted to the person who, in
many cases, was the only one willing to listen.
It is our lot in life to be "targets". We are the targets of the abducting aliens, the targets of ufologists who need us to
continue their research, and the targets of people's ridicule. While some of us may choose to exist in the perpetual
role of the victim, leaving ourselves in an open position to be targeted even further, some of us do not take that
route and absolutely refuse to linger in a victim's state of mind. This is a very good personal policy to have, but it
doesn't change the fact that we are targeted individuals. This position makes many of us very jaded and paranoid.
Trust is something that is often a foreign thing. It's something that some of us only read about or see from a
distance, much like looking at a postcard with a picture of a beautiful place that we will never see. This is
understandable seeing as there are so many takes on this phenomenon that propose so many different things and
as we try to sift through to form some sort of answer we are left confused and uncertain, terrified of coming to the
wrong conclusion. Who among you who are now reading this have spent hours on the Internet typing every
keyword that you can think of into search engines and clicking on link after link after link, reading the same things
over and over again? How many of you now reading this have ever stood timidly in a bookstore or public library
skimming through ufology books while giving sideways glances to see if anyone is looking as you try and work up
the nerve to take that book to the counter? How many of you have stared blankly at your screen and tried to find
the courage to e-mail a specialist or organization and lost your nerve? How many of you have slammed a book shut
and thrown it to the ground because it was just too damn real? How many of you have, in a sick way, looked forward
to being taken in hopes that it might bring you closer to an answer? Well, how many of you? I know I have.
Many of us have noticed that we are treated differently by people who don't even know. They sense it. Many of us
give people the creeps and they can't tell why so they become defensive and either avoid you like the plague or
make passive aggressive comments that cut you to the bone. We sometimes engender a more severe reaction
when we step out of line and won't "stay in our place" socially. Others become curious and go out of their way to
talk to you as they flock to you. We often survive socially by either isolating ourselves or allowing ourselves to
become vague social novelties. However, many of us have managed to find true friends that we could tell of this
and, while they may not understand, they listen and help in every way they can. We count ourselves lucky for this
blessing. Many of us have revealed this part of ourselves and been rejected by someone that we thought would be
there for us. This can change our whole world and cause us to recede inside, vowing to never again make that
same mistake. It can if we let it. It takes a lot of inner strength to not go that route. Many of us choose to take a
sort of "middle ground" by joining support groups and online message-boards dedicated to this. We retreat to these
sacred and secret abodes because, for many of us, they are the only place we have. We share, comfort, and
compare data and experience for the hope of perhaps putting all the pieces together or at least having one place in
this world where you know that people truly understand.
If I were a researcher I could present data of my findings and invite you to compare and contrast your own
experience with what I have in an article that is little more than an eerie checklist written on a public bathroom mirror.
I could invite you to see how your own reflection fits into the profile of the words that I have written across your face.
However, I am not a researcher. I have no data or expertise that I can refer to. I can only write what I see and have
experienced. There are no words before you on the mirror, just your own reflection staring back.
